Tooling decisions are tied to the real assembly, including critical datums, visible surfaces, clips, bosses, ports and other functional interfaces.

During DFM and mold development, particular attention is given to smooth airflow paths and open vent geometry, stable flanges and duct connections, and impact-resistant curved covers and splash shields. Material options include PA, POM, PP, PC/ABS, TPE, TPU and other automotive-grade resins specified for the project. Final resin selection is confirmed against the customer’s functional, appearance, compliance and cost requirements.
